SPRING LIVING WREATH WORKSHOP
Thursday 10th April 2025
6.30pm - 9pm
£65 Per Ticket
Come and join us at Oad Street in creating your very own Spring Living Wreath which will evolve with the season and grow into a stunning piece of artwork to decorate your door or outside space.
My name is Grace Kelly and I am a Flower Farmer living in Yelsted , a few miles away from Oad Street. I live on a small holding with about 6 acres of woodland and 15 acres of fields. I grow seasonal flowers, sustainable, without using pesticides or any chemicals, following the principles of a No-dig system, as much as possible. The second part of my business is about encouraging people to be more creative, get outside into nature and improve mental health and well being and to this end I hold workshops where you can create something unique and beautiful. You will be following three simple steps that will provide you with the principles of how to make a highly sustainable wreath that you can reuse throughout the season.
You will learn:
How to weave a willow wreath base
How to create a moss base that will provide a medium for growing
How to use a Japanese technic called “Kokedama” which is about covering the bulb or roots of the plant in moss and twine to keep it alive and let it continue to grow.
How to add embellishments that will give you the freedom to express your unique style that will match your home décor.
A glass of Prosecco on arrival and all materials included all you need to bring is an open mind….
